Yes, I have negative traits - So what?

So today's post is kinda inspired by this website:

 http://www.gurusoftware.com/GuruNet/Personal/Factors.htm

It practically lists out many of human's positive and negative traits! - In other words, it basically lists out what is socially accepted as positive traits and the negative traits that should be avoided! My question is, who classifies these things?! Why is a particular trait positive or negative?

Unfortunately, I have no answers to these questions! But, what I am going to do today is, pick out a few of the traits listed in the website mentioned above and try to prove to you that possessing some of so called "negative traits" is NOT BAD at all! - But of course, you are the judge here! If you disagree with me on any of these points, do leave comments below! =)

1) Decisive (positive) and Indecisive (negative)

People keep saying that we should be decisive about EVERYTHING...I agree that being decisive is good in a way but that doesn't mean being indecisive is bad! Being a Libran, apparently I am born indecisive which I don't disagree to! I AM INDECISIVE! I take time to decide on even trivial matters but that doesn't mean I am inefficient!

Being indecisive can sometimes be fun! Back when I was in UK, my friends and I went out for winter boots shopping in the biggest mall in Europe! I saw a few boots which I liked but I couldn't decide (duh!)...So, we kept walking and looking around! But of course, I ended up buying the boots I saw in the 1st shop!...We may have been super tired, but it was a fun moment! Til today, we talk about it and have a good laugh!- It gave us a chance to spend time together! - We laughed at each other, got a little bit of scolding from my friend (out of love of course!) and took photos!

If I were decisive, shopping time would have had spent maybe about 3 hrs tops! But, since I was indecisive, I had my lovely friends to myself for the WHOLE DAY! (Now, how can that possibly be a negative outcome?! *winks*)

THE boots! =D
2) Accept what is given (positive) and Rejects/Ignores what is given (negative)

It's true that you have learn to accept what you have and appreciate what is given to you!... But is it ALWAYS good?...My answer is no! If you always keep accepting what is given to you, then how are going to improve in life? Sometimes, you gotta grab what you deserve! You gotta demand for it! Like the saying 'Knock, and the door shall open, Ask, and you shall be granted'...Certain things in life just doesn't fall on your lap! You gotta fight for it!

3) Change (positive) and Resist change (negative)

I am a firm believer of the saying 'Nothing is constant except change!'...I don't deny the fact that change is good! Change brings development and improvement!...But there is also good in resisting changes! People try to change others for their own convenience...Sometimes, people are so bothered about what others think! Trying to change oneself to impress others and just to be socially accepted - Is this change good? You be the judge of that! Don't change yourself cause someone says so! Only do it if it feels right to you! If you allow people to change you then you live a life of a piece of clay, for humans think for themselves and make their own decisions!

4) Not jealous (positive) and jealousy (negative)

Jealousy is the most common trait which is almost always classified as negative trait! Yeh maybe it is! But, a little jealousy can bring you a long way! It could be used as motivation! When someone achieves better than you at work, school or life, use your green-eyed monster to climb that ladder of success! If you use it wisely, jealousy brings success and improvement in life!

5) Serious (positive) and silly (negative)

Being serious is important - sometimes! But, if you are always serious about everything, then you will be left with white hairs, wrinkles and most probably depression. We should be silly once in a while. Be spontaneous and laugh out loud! Don't hold yourself back because you are in public! If anything, your silly laughter brings joy to others or maybe a little jealousy (then again, a little jealousy = motivation!)... So don't always be serious, be happy and cease the moment!

Of course, this doesn't mean you have to disregard the positive traits! Be balanced!

Don't try to be perfect! - Life doesn't come with a manual! Do what makes you happy and for once don't wonder about what others may think about you! It's not your job to please people!

Life, like law, has no right or wrong answers! Be yourself and remember that some of your negative traits CAN bring positive results - if you use them wisely! *winks*

Your Inner Child! - Don't kill her!

Whether you are 15 or 45, you have an inner child! As you age, your maturity grows and your inner child starts to disappear! That's when you hear people tell you "You have turned out to be wise and mature!"... For the record, I hate those words!

Who says being mature is always good? Who says losing your inner child is a good sign? I guess it's the way you look at it. I mean, everyone is entitled to their own perspective! Let me share mine.

I think it's okay to be a child once in a while - Even if you are 80! You get to forget about problems whether its in terms of finance, family or studies!... Take a break from your hectic lifestyle! Take a moment to unwind and let yourself go - Scream and throw tantrums!

I have heard people say "You are too old to be watching cartoons!"... That's just wrong! You are never too old to watch cartoons! My personal favourites: Tom and Jerry, Flinstones, Dexter's Laboratory and practically all Disney cartoons!...I am 22 and I still watch cartoons and I am proud of it!...I am proud to know that I didn't let that inner child in me die!.. She will always be there - through thick or thin!

Why is it good to keep your inner child?
Well, when you lose the inner child in you, you lose your imagination!... Remember when you were a child, you could see opportunity in every single detail? Rulers were your swords! The clouds in the sky are never just clouds - they are elephants, babies, tortoises or rabbits! A child's imagination is an incredible gift!... We were are born with it! -  Some of us choose to keep it and others choose to throw it away! Well for me...I am definitely keeping it!

You will hear people say "You are childish! You should grow up!" - Don't listen to them because:

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!

If you keep the child in you alive, you feel alive! - Life will be full of smiles, laughter and joy (Just like your childhood!)

So, try it today! Don't suppress your inner child! Unleash him/her!: Watch cartoons, throw tantrums, eat ice cream out of the tub and be clumsy... You can even be Superman if you want to, for imagination has no limits!

Finding love! - Overrated?

The only topic that stays fresh and never fade away is people finding love! Women, men, teenage boys and girls....even kids (around 9 or 10 yrs old) are now keen to find their "soul mate"... I mean what's the rush?

My advice:
Before searching for love, appreciate existing love around u!
Love between a man and woman is not the only form of LOVE!...There's love everywhere when u think about it!

1) Mom's love: She may not utter the words 'I LOVE YOU' all the time, but there's always love in the food she cooks for you and the chores she does for you! Appreciate that!

2) Dad's love: You may see him just as an ATM machine...the notes of money he gives u is not just paper...it's love!...He doesn't give you coz he HAS to!...He gives coz he cares! Appreciate that!

3) Sibling's love: Yeah, we fight!...we fight for the remote control, the wardrobe, which side of the bed we get to sleep in etc...We call each other foul names!..We fight til we physically hurt each other!...but there's always love in every of those bruise! Appreciate that!

4) Friend's love: You may think we are only good for camwhoring and gossiping!...But, we care for each other!... We know when something's wrong... We motivate each other and climb the ladder of success together! Appreciate that!

5) A dog's love: He may not be able to speak in a language u understand... His barks in the middle of the night may annoy you... But, he never fails to make you smile the moment you enter your house! He jumps, licks and wags his tail...even if you left him all alone for the past 2 days!- That's love! Appreciate that!

6) A teacher's love: They scold you...you feel tortured when they give a pile of homework...You especially feel irritated when they complain about you to your parents!... But they only do it for your own good!... coz they care about you! Appreciate that!

7) God's love: He is always there for you! He may give you problems but nothing you can't handle!...He does that only to show you how strong you are!...Because you are his child and he loves you!... You may not be able to see him but you definitely can FEEL him! Appreciate that!

And remember to love YOURSELF! No one knows you better than yourself! If you don't love yourself, who else would?!

So for those of you who keep whining about not having "love" in your life or no one to share your life with!... Just look around you!...There are people just waiting for you accept their love!... Appreciate those around you!... Your true love and soul mate is somewhere out there...It will happen when its supposed to happen!... Meanwhile, take in the love and be happy!

Appreciate simple things in life! (especially food! =P)

Simple home made food are the best!

Firstly it's simple - Cooking is super fast and easy!

Secondly, its home made!...It has the taste that YOU love!...I love spicy food!...So, every food I make has the perfect amount of spices!

Spicy pasta with tomatoes and onions!

Fried brinjals - marinated with chilli powder!

Spicy potato masala!

Appreciate the simplest things in life! - It may be simple but it could make a big difference! (And, I'm not only talking about food!)

Accomplish!

What's the best feeling in the world?.....Some say its when you spend the whole day with your loved one...Some say its when you get to eat however much you want without getting fat!...Some even say the best feeling is when they get to sleep 12 hrs a day without their dads waking em up every 2 seconds (Well yeah, sometimes!)

For me, the best feeling in the world is when I know that I have accomplished something - No matter how small my achievements are... It could be just cleaning my room, cooking a nice dinner or even if I only got to finish 1 chapter of Civil Procedure! - It may not be much but I know I'm heading in the right direction.

Of course, the bigger the achievement, the more awesome the feeling!... Remember your graduation day or the day you won some competition and your family is in the crowd clapping and cheering for you? Yeh, those memories are the rewards of your accomplishments! That's the moment you recall all those sleepless nights, the sacrifices you made and all the hurdles you went through...You smile and tell yourself  "That was soooo worth it!".

The feeling of having accomplished something is awesome!...But, the journey? - Not so much! (Kinda sux actually!)

Well, you can't have the pearl without diving in the sea, look for the right oyster and actually opening it right?... So, dive in and search for the best way to achieve, don't hesitate and give it all you have!... It will all be worth it when get your 'pearl'!

Never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about! =)

'Desserts' is 'Stressed' backwards!

Desserts are a student's best friend.... Stressed up, emo, depressed, lost all purpose in life?... Gobble up a piece of cake (Western style) or if you have a tongue for Malaysian delicacies, go for some Ais Kacang or Cendol!

Cendol! *yummeh*

*nom nom nom*

As for me, I stuffed myself with some delicious desserts - Western style! Thanks to my dearest housemate and her family! (Just a little perks of having friend's parents over for a visit!)

These are the pics I took of today's desserts:

Bread pudding! - good but not as good as Van's! (especially with some smarties sprinkled in em)

Chocolate balls! - Super sweet, chewy and chocolatey! *heaven in mouth*

Stressed? Turn it backwards and savour some awesome possum desserts - After all, 'Desserts' is 'Stressed' backwards!

How to get things working!

Finally figured out how to switch on a TV (not so new lah!)

So, my housemates and I have been having this TV in our condo for a few months now but never watched it once!

Why? Coz, we couldn't get it started. It just won't switch on!

My dad came, inspected it, and accidentally dropped it (just a little bit la!)...And guess what, it works!!

You got any electrical appliances that don't work?...Just drop it!

Note: Make sure you only drop it from an approximate height of an inch!...This trick would most probably fail if you drop it from the 3rd floor!

-peace out-

Embrace Uniqueness!

People often try to please others by changing the way they talk , the way they appear and trying to someone they are not. Sometimes they try to be like celebrities: Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Kim Kardashian, Johnny Depp (Yes, it applies to guys too! - dont deny it!). Anyway, the sad part of this is that, in the process, they lose a part of themselves. My question to those people pleasers:

Is it worthit?! - are their opinions so significant that you are willing to throw a part of u away? - NO!

Is their approval so important in living your life? - live the way you want and enjoy every bit of it... screw the haters!! (If you keep thinking about what others think about you, you will live a life you will regret in future!)

Do you just please people just to fit in? -  Let me tell you something, if you have to change yourself or have to make a tremendous amount of effort to fit in a group, that group is just not for you!... trust me! I have had sooo many groups of friends starting from primary school to university!...some of my so called 'gang' did not even last a year!.. If you feel comfortable being yourself in a group, you are where you're supposed to be!... Be happy and stop trying to fit into a group you most definitely don't belong in - It's like trying to open your car with your house key!

Do you change yourself because you think that having a certain personality or character makes you more cool?
Truth be told, most of the time you are wrong!... People always want to be someone they are not!... Trying to be a duplicate of another person is so NOT COOL!...why would you want to be exactly same as someone else when you can be one of a kind and unique? Everyone is born unique not just physically but also genetically and psychologically (mental strength, broad/narrow minded etc). Embrace your uniqueness! It's there for a reason!

None of the above convinced you to be yourself ?? Let me try another one:

The opposite sex (or the same sex depends on which way you swing =p) always finds you more attractive if you are an original and not a crappy ole photocopy of celebrities or whoever you may think to be cool! =p

So be original and stay original! ;-)

Whaaaat life?!

Not difficult, but bulky.

Not impossible to pass, but I must work my ass off.

Passing rate of only 27% - 30%....Scary but there's still hope!

With a little bit of effort, smart studying, some sacrifices and discipline it can be done!...just a few more months!

Gonna hold on and try to make it!!

You only fail when you stop trying...hope for the best and prepare for the worst!

We gotta give our best...If you dont feel like your brain is drained by the end of the day, you have not done your best for the day!...no sweats!...try harder and smarter! ;-)

Life of a CLP student! Wait....what life??! =p

-Peace Out-

What's so great about 9gag-ing?

So, 9gag-ing is going global...wherever you are from, you have either already been sucked into this 9gag addiction, you have heard a lot about it but haven't had the chance to go on 9gag (highly improbable!) or maybe never even heard about it! (which is kinda sad because it shows how disconnected you are from the internet world or maybe just ignorant!)

To fellow 9gagers out there, have you ever wondered what is so great about 9gag?...I know most of u lazy ass people don't even think about it...just clicking away and laughing alone in your room! (i don't blame you!)

Well, let me do the thinking for you...This is what I came up with...

1) They are funny and make great laughing buddies (you know, for all those forever aloners out there!)

2) Most of the posts are actually TRUE!...you can relate to it!...admit it, there are a bunch of things that you NEVER dared to talk about in public - but no sweats! 9gag does it for you!

3) It makes you feel normal....how??...well, u read a post on 9gag and then you go like "OMG, I thought I was the only weirdo who did that!!" *feels normal again*

4) Cute memes!!...they show you your exact expressions! My favourites:
Okay, maybe they exaggerate just a little bit! =P

5) Great way to kill time!!...everyone has those days where you don't want to study, work, watch tv, sleep and do pretty much nothing (I call it being EMO! - common situation for CLP students!)...but doing nothing can be quite boring...so you lay down on you bed, go on 9gag,browse the posts 9gag, laugh like a mad person, yell "that's sooo true!" at every post you see!!...And before you know it, its supper time!...cool huh?

6) It's educational and keeps you updated about world news in a fun way! - Well, kinda!

I guess that's it!...I mean, come one, I'm sure you are convinced enough to open a new tab on your browser and go on 9gag RIGHT NOW!...So, whatcha waiting for?...Go!

Tata *waves goodbye and yawns*

What's with people and match-making?! (seriously, you are no cupid!)

My blog is unloved... i know... but whatever... now its alive (again!)

Okay, so what is with people and match making anyway?... What is so great about it?...

First of all, people are very much capable of finding their own match, soulmate, bf, gf, gay partner, lover, husband, wife or whatever....

So, your opinion is not exactly appreciated...

This not only applies to their match making skills but also to their other UNWANTED OPINIONS as well...

So.... ummm... ya..... that's all... i guess this post is just to resuscitate my blog....

VIC (wait for it) TORY!.... ;p

TRANSFORMERS 2!!!...

Transformers 2 is awesome!... i hearts bumblebee, skids, mudflap and wheelie!!!... they are sooo freaking cuteeee!...

There are a few quotes from this movie that are actually unforgettable! (either because its funny, cool or just plain stooopid!)...

Sam Witwicky: Bee, I want to talk to you about the college thing, okay?

Bumblebee: [does a dance] "I'm so excited, / And I just can't hide it..."

Sam Witwicky: Hey! I'm not taking you with me! [Bumblebee is downcast]

Mikaela Banes: I'm gonna wait outside... [goes outside and starts to strip]

Sam Witwicky: Bumblebee, just hear me out okay. You know freshmen aren't allowed to have cars, that's all it is. It is best for both of us. I know it doesn't sound like it but... you're an Autobot, you shouldn't be living in my dad's garage. I mean you're suffocating in here. Hey will you look at me please? Hey, come on big guy...

Sam Witwicky: Look, the guardian thing is done, okay? You did your job. It's over with. You've gotta be something else, you've got have a bigger purpose then just me, Bee! I can't be the end all deal in your life!

Bumblebee: "What is"... "your"... "purpose"... Sam?

Sam Witwicky: I don't know. I wanna... I wanna be normal, I want to go to college. Everybody has this, and I should be able to experience this. And I can't do that with you. [Bumblebee bursts into tears; literally, with his windscreen cleaners malfunctioning]

Sam Witwicky: Come on... it's not the last time I'm gonna see you, you know? Come on, don't do that... Bee, you're killing me... [Bee angrily gesticulates to Sam to go away]

Sam Witwicky: You'll always be my first car man. I love you. [leaves the garage]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Agent Simmons: What you are about to see is top secret. Do not tell my mother.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam Witwicky: Can you read this?

Skids: Read? Unh uh.

Mudflap: We don't - we don't really do much reading.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wheelie: Is that the best you got, huh? Is that best you can do?

Mikaela Banes: What are you doing here, you little freak? [Mikeala burns his left eye off with a soldering iron]

Wheelie: That's my eye, you crazy bitch! Easy Warrior Goddess, I'm just a little salvage scrap drone.

Mikaela Banes: Then I'm your worst nightmare.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Mikaela's dog looks at Wheelie]

Wheelie: What are you looking at, Slobberpuss?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mudflap: It's an ass-whoopin', it's *supposed* to hurt!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jetfire: Itchy wretched rust in my aft! [scratches himself]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And i also like the scene where major lennox will ask the galloway guy to bail out using the parachute... galloway will be like " bail out??...bail out??...are u serious??..." and galloway will actually pull the parachute before he jumped out and lennox will say "not now you dumbass!"...

The 'Hi' Game!

My blog was dead.....in order to revive it im gna post something that happened last friday!...it was soooo funny and we ACTUALLY had fun in EU law class talking about it....

I wasnt personally there to witness it (only edwin and sherleen were there!...owh wait...mr.kevin too) but i laughed my ass out when edwin told me about it... 'It' being referred to as.....

*drum rolls!*

*more drum rolls*

' THE HI GAME'...

So, the point of this game is as follows:

1) wait at the door like a total idiot until someone pass through...

2) When someone passes through....see if its a guy or a girl...

3) If its a guy---Sherleen has to say hi....
If its a girl---Edwin has to say hi...

4) Mind you that these ppl are totally random unknown people...

5) Look totally retarded when the random person give you a 'who-the-hell-is-this-wacko??!' stare and finally says a 'i-don't-even-know-this-jackass' hi!

If u think this game is already wacky and lame... wait til you hear bout sherleen's reaction when it was her turn.... owh owh wait.... the random guy's reaction is more hysterical... i was laughing my heads off just hearing about it...i wish i was there to actually see it!....

So.... first it was edwin.... this random girl walks in and he says hi and she gave him THE STARE and said THE HI... this was normal (in a very abnormal way)...

next was sherleen... this random guy (called 'the tatooed guy') walks by and sherleen says hi.. he gave her the 'this-chick-is-hitting-on-me' look and said hi... but.... it wasnt over... he actually continued staring at her and she she froze!!!!.... she wasnt prepared for this... she thought he would say THE HI and just walk away... now she had a panic attack and continued staring at him as though he was talking French with her... and then finally he walked away thinking she was totally hitting on him....

okay...i knw this getting a little dramatic but thats what happen....it think... i mean i wasnt there.. edwin told me the whole story... so it was based on his story!... but i still wished i was there!!... i totally missed the most fun thing that would ever happen at ipg in another 1000 years..*sobs*....

So, anyway... thats what happened last friday!... and edwin's face was tomato red when he told me the story... besides... i have a catch phrase that i can tell sherleen all this week... ' i know what you did last friday!'... hahaha...lolx

P/S : both of them are asking me to play the game coming friday!... but i think il pass!... hehe...
and.... i hope eddie, edwin and prema are happy that i actually updated my rarely updated
blog after sooooo many months...

~peace out~

ALREADY DEAD...

Sometimes there is a feeling that hits you,
It almost feels like its something totally new,
So sudden, just like the breeze from the sea brushing towards your skin,
Deep inside, you know that's the way it has always been.

As time goes by, the feeling just stops hitting,
That's when you realise that its the soul that you are eventually losing,
The sudden pause starts to bother the silence of your heart,
Years go by and you still wonder why your body and soul are going apart.

Finally you meet someone who has all the answers,
Who is willing to make you strong and sober,
As all the answers are being fed,
You then realise that you are ALREADY DEAD.

erm....so all those ppl who are reading this post, do not think that i am emo...
I AM NOT EMO....it is just a poem i wrote...i dnt knw why....i wrote it when i was dead bored with nothing to do...

and i chose to post this poem because i have nothing interesting going on in my life... and my "wonderful frens" (edwin and prema) are forcing me to update my blog..and unlike edwin i dnt knw hw to make myself look like catwoman or something...haha...

so just for your info...this poem was written originally by me...I DID NOT STEAL IT...
btw...COPYRIGHT RESERVED....(actually its not like any1 would want this poem anyway...lolx..)
